Description/Blazon
The dark blue represents the Adjutant General Corps with which all Army Bands are associated.  The shoulder sleeve insignia is displayed below two white scrolls inscribed "SEVENTY-EIGHTH" at the top and on the bottom scroll "ARMY BAND" in dark blue letters.  The three white bands display the campaign credit for World War II service and the red band indicates the Meritorious Unit Commendation award.  Displayed at the bottom is a knot alluding to continuity.
